Authorship and Author Responsibilities

An author is entirely accountable for the data and information presented in the respective article. The authors are expected to present genuine and original outcomes and appropriate citations while representing the data and documenting the discussion. Authors must provide information that is comprehensible and reproducible. Supporting information such as figures and tables provided by the authors should be legible and technically reproducible.

An author should not repeat any research data from their existing publication or anyone else while submitting an original manuscript for primary publication in any journal. The reported scope of work should be based on proper citations from other influencing publications. Before submitting an article, the authors should cross-examine the scope of the journal and in case of any query should contact the Editorial office.

Authors should strictly fulfill the authorship criteria. All listed authors must have a significant contribution to the research presented in the manuscript and must approve all its claims. Any person considered as the author of an original research article must contribute in any of the following ways: designing the study, executing the study or conducting the experiments, analyzing the data, supporting in documenting the article and drawing the conclusions, spearheading the project as a principal investigator. It is mandatory to include everyone who has made a significant contribution towards the completion of the research work.

Any financial or personal interest that governs the findings or research in the manuscript along with the details of financial support and its sources should be revealed. Through the submission of an article, the respective authors agree that the article neither is under consideration nor published in any other journal.

Under the terms of this license, the authors retain ownership of the copyright of their articles. However, the license permits any user to download, print, extract, reuse, archive, and distribute the article so long as appropriate credit is given to the authors and the source of work. The license claims that the article will be available as widely as possible and that the article can be included in any scientific archive.

Open access not only ensures wide dissemination of knowledge, but also allows others to cite, re-purpose, and build upon the existing published research, which is its greatest impact and contribution to the scientific community

US Government Authors

Submissions with one or more authors who are United States government employees will be published under a Creative Commons public domain instrument (CC0), which waives all copyright and related rights to the article to the maximum extent allowed by law.

Advantages of Open Access for Authors

The High Availability and Visibility of our open access articles is guaranteed through the free and unlimited accessibility of the publication over the Internet. Everyone can freely access and download the full text of all articles published with Maples Scientific Publishers : readers of open access journals, i.e., mostly other researchers, do not need to pay any subscription or pay-per-view charges to read articles published by Maples Scientific Publisher. Open access publications are also more likely to be included in search engines and indexing databases.

The Higher Citation Impact of open access articles results from their high publicity and availability. Open access publications are demonstrably more frequently cited.

Lower Publishing Costs: Open access publishers cover their costs for editorial handling and editing of a paper by charging authors' institutes or research funding agencies. The cost of handling and producing an article is covered through the one-time payment of an article processing charge (APC) for each accepted article. The APCs of open access publishers are only a fraction of the average income per paper earned by traditional, subscription-based publishers. Maples Scientific Publishers Journals article processing charge (APC) is the same, irrespective of article length, because we wish to encourage publication of long papers with complete results and full experimental or computational details.

Publication Ethics

Maples Scientific Publishers supports the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We follow its Best Practice Guidelines and abide by its Code of Conduct for dealing with potential cases of misconduct. We expect our authors to comply with best practices in publication ethics particularly with regard to authorship, competing interests, compliance with standards of research ethics, falsification and fabrication of data, redundant publication, plagiarism, figure manipulation, and dual submission.

If we find conclusive evidence of misconduct, we will take measures to correct the scientific record, which may include issuing a correction or retraction.

Any concerns about the above should be addressed to the editorial office at office@maplespub.com

Withdrawal Policy

In line with other open access journals, we provide a flat fee submission structure (depending on the journal) on the acceptance of a peer-reviewed article, which covers in part the entirety of the publication pathway (the article processing charge). The process includes our maintenance, submission, and peer review systems and international editing, publication, and submission to global indexing and tracking organizations and archiving to allow instant access to the whole article and associated supplementary documents. We also have to ensure enough investment to secure a symbiotic and sustainable model which is ethically, legally, and financially stable.

To evade gratuitous withdrawal of manuscripts, MapSci Digital Publisher has declared the following withdrawal policy. The corresponding author or co-authors should acknowledge the below statements before sending a request for withdrawal.

All authors including the corresponding and co-authors should confirm the number of authors, authorship, and approval, and integrity of the manuscript before submission. In case of any differences of opinion, the concerns of all the authors must be addressed before submitting the manuscript for publishing.

  • Research students or Researchers should take prior permission from their guides and professors before sending/submitting their manuscripts to MapSci Digital Publisher journals.
  • Authors should follow the publication ethics.
  • The manuscript must be appropriately withdrawn from any previous publisher (if submitted).
  • It is unacceptable to withdraw a manuscript from the journal because it is being accepted by another journal.
  • Before submitting the manuscript authors should carefully confirm that the facts and data presented in the manuscripts are accurate and error-free.
  • All authors must agree for publishing the articles in a specific journal before submission.

Unethical Withdrawal

  • Withdrawal at an advanced stage in the editorial process, such as when peer reviews are close to completion, is unacceptable unless there are compelling reasons.
  • If the author withdraws a manuscript after publication, the article publication charges, if paid by the authors, will not be refunded.
  • If the authors do not respond to the communication from the editorial office, even after multiple reminders, at any stage of the publication process; MapSci Digital Publisher Journals holds all rights to disclose the conduct of the authors and content of the manuscript without further approval from the authors, and cannot be held responsible for the consequences arising from it.
  • Withdrawal of a manuscript will be permitted only for the most compelling and unavoidable reasons. For withdrawal of a manuscript, authors need to submit an "Article withdrawal Form", signed by all authors mentioning the reason for withdrawal to the Editorial Office. The form is available from the editorial office of the journal. Authors must not assume that their manuscript has been withdrawn until they have received appropriate notification to this effect from the editorial office.
  • In a case where a manuscript has taken more than six months’ time for the review process, the author may withdraw the manuscript without paying any charges.

Manuscript Withdrawal Charges

An author is allowed to withdraw a manuscript without paying any withdrawal penalty if the author(s) requests a withdrawal of the manuscript within 48 hours of submission.

If the author(s) requests a withdrawal of manuscript after the peer review process or in the production stage (Early Release or Ahead of publishing) or after online publishing; then authors would have to pay a withdrawal penalty.

Withdrawal Form: Maples Scientific Publisher Journal Editorial Office will provide the corresponding author a formal letter of Manuscript Withdrawal. Withdrawal of manuscripts is only allowed after the withdrawal penalty has been fully paid to the  Maples Scientific Publisher  Editorial Office.

As per the policy, we declare that in case of withdrawal, the withdrawal charges will be applicable.
