Jean-Marc SABATIER is a Director of research at the French CNRS, with PhD and HDR degrees in Biochemistry and Microbiology. He headed several academic research teams (CNRS, INSERM and University), as well as a combined academic-industry research laboratory devoted to the engineering of therapeutic peptides (ERT62, Marseilles, France). He was also a Director of Research for several French private companies as well as a Canadian public company. He acts as a Consultant for top pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies. Dr. Sabatier works in the field of animal toxins. He so far contributed to several books in toxinology and virology, and more than 160 scientific articles, 180 communications, and 53 patents in both biology and chemistry. He is a member of 38 Editorial Boards of scientific journals, such as ‘Peptides’, ‘Molecules’ and the ‘Journal of Biological chemistry’. He also reviewed articles submitted for publication in 74 international journals and acts as an expert for numerous institutions (ANR, CEA, CNRS, MRC, ISF, BARD, AIRD, IPT, Pasteur Institutes, Ville de Paris, Region Languedoc-Roussillon, Fondation Arthritis, etc.). He won the ‘Citizen of the Year Award’ from the Nouvel Economiste (1994) for his work on antivirals. He is a member of a dozen scientific societies, such as the ‘American Peptide Society’ (charter member), ‘European Peptide Society’, ‘American Society for Microbiology’, ‘Biochemical Society’ and ‘New-York Academy of Sciences’.

Jibin Song

Jibin Song obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2014. He continued to study as a postdoctoral fellow in cancer Imaging and Therapy at National Institutes of Health (NIH), United States. In 2018, he joined the Fuzhou University as a“Min Jiang ScholarProfessor” of analytical chemistry and biomedical engineering. He has authored/co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers and the total citations exceed 2500. President Chen specializes in isolation, purification and structural analysis of active components of plants. President Chen directed against active constituents of oral cancer, liver cancer, and rectal cancer. President Chen was just over 45 years old, but his work has more than 250 papers, Taiwan one of the young talents. Professor Chen won numerous awards at home and abroad, from 2015, was awarded the lifetime achievement award; from 2016 was awarded the health care & biotechnology merit award; from 2017 was awarded the nation academic award.

Guesmi Fatma

Dr. Fatma Guesmi received her Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular biology from Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte, Bizerte, Tunisia where she studied the biological activities of medicinal plants in both in vivo and in vitro. During doctoral research program, she has done part of her thesis work in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, USA. Dr. Fatma Guesmi’s work focused on the anticancer properties of natural compounds in vitro, which suppresses the activation of pro-inflammatory transcription factors NF-κB. The gene products regulated by NF-kB have now been linked to cellular transformation, tumor cell survival, proliferation, invasion, angiogenesis, metastasis, chemoresistance, and radioresistance.
